duty and built to last forever. We have two options in the custom category.
Screens with doors that open (like Pictured here) or one piece units that
are lesser expensive and you lift them off to add more fire wood.
The one piece units are best used on smaller Fire Pits.

Out of the Box Fire pit safety screens
Be now you have seen many screens available from many different internet vendors such as the one pictured to the left. These screens are made of regular steel and will burn out in a short period of time. The application of these screens is they are meant to be replacement screens for out of the box fire pits! We sell them as well and they are great for the application but please don't consider these for a nice built in rock fire pit.

In most all counties in the USA the law requires a fire pit safety screen
to be used when burning a fire in an open fire pit. Fire pits are an awesome
addition to any backyard but a safety screen (in my opinion) isn't not optional.

Custom fire pits can vary from a simple to very elaborate. You can make a fire pit by simply putting rocks in a circle and BAM you have a fire pit. The problem is containing the flying sparks and this is why we need fire pit screens. You make the fire pit and I'll take care of the fire pit screen for you.
If your interested in a fire pit screen we'll need the measurements. We normally suggest measuring the inside diameter in several locations and taking the largest number and adding 4".
If your fire pit has a flat ledge that is 6 inches wide (made of flat rock) and the inside diameter of the open fire pit is 36" then you may want a fire pit screen that sits 2 inches over the inside diameter. So take the 36" diameter fire pit and add 2 inches times 2 equals 40". This is what we suggest but we'll make it any size you like. If you want the option of mounting the screen to the coping with concrete screws we can weld tabs on the inside just for this application.
This is real important. Remember- measure the fire pit twice - cut the fire pit screen once.
